The product does not require a speaker impedance and does not degrade the signal. It has a simple installation process and the banana plugs are recommended for the rear connections. The product includes backlit VU meters that will remind users of the fond memories of cassette recordings. However, the remote has been a disappointment for some, as it is cheap and needs more work. It needs to be taped in place in some cases. The battery compartment is not labeled and the unit power/meter diming can only be controlled with the remote. The product does not have an on/off switch, it has to be turned off by holding down the amplifier button on the face of the unit, for a few seconds. Users can also plug and unplug the unit for on/off if the remote is lost or damaged
