However, the creator's fork of software is very out of date and no longer builds in a modern Linux system. The Jeff Probe uses a SAMD21, not an STM32 and therefore cannot run the latest code. The lack of software support may make it difficult for both novices and experts to recommend this product. The Jeff Probe is comparable to the official Black Magic Probe with a less powerful MCU, and the price reflects this.
