The Fiskars X27 splitting axe is a popular product that customers have been happy with. It is identical to the X27 with the exception of the orange rubberised grip on the handle. Customers have had no issues with splitting wood and claim it works well even on knotted wood. An oak round at least 28” across and with an enormous limb twisting up the grain was split in 3 hits by a 5’8” woman. The axe is also suitable for children to use. Buyers were pleased with the tool's effectiveness, even describing it as cutting 'like dynamite', and many compared it to a Collins maul. There were a few negative reviews, however. One buyer claimed the long handle may be too long for smaller people while another showed a picture of their handle breaking, but this seemed to be a rare incident. Overall, this is a well-made splitting axe.
