In a recent customer Q&A and review section, many users have asked about the size and material of the Molds, Fossils product. The molds are made of plastic and are between 3" and 4" in size. One customer used them to create chocolate fossils on cupcakes, making 30 fossils in one evening. They noted that the molds released the chocolate well and produced a nice casting. The molds are reusable, especially for melted chocolate, and can last indefinitely under appropriate use. However, caution is advised when using them with plaster or harder substances. The shapes in the set include a Fish (Gryodus), Ammonite, Trilobite, Chirostenotes claw (a theropod), and a Mesolimulus (a horse crab species). Some customers also mention that the molds are a bit large for solid chocolate, but they were well-received by children. Overall, the product seems to work effectively for making chocolate fossils, and it's suitable for a kid's dino dig activity.
