Mishima masterfully combines his writing with the nothingness-based philosophy of the Japanese warrior class. Mishima, who committed suicide by disemboweling himself using the traditional Japanese method in front of live cameras on November 25, 1970, can also be considered as ending the life of Mishima, a master playwright, with a live stage performance.
